Short Term Goals
In the next year, JusticeForMalinda Inc. aims to achieve 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status to attract larger sponsors, enabling us to give back to the community with more awareness initiatives. We also plan to advance Malinda's Law, with the intention of presenting it before the House of Representatives this year or early next year.
Long Term Goals
In five years, Justice for Malinda Inc. envisions becoming a nationally recognized force for child protection reform, honoring Malinda's legacy by reshaping how systems respond to abuse. We aim for legislative wins with Malinda’s Law enacted in multiple states, a publicly accessible law enforcement registry of convicted child abuse offenders, and mandatory visual welfare checks codified into child protective protocols. JFM will be a consulting voice in shaping child welfare legislation with a traveling awareness campaign, annual summits, and features in major media outlets. A nationwide student safety initiative will engage tens of thousands weekly, with peer-led accountability models. Certified training programs for educators, social workers, and law enforcement, along with curriculum modules in schools, will further our impact. Our fully compliant 501(c)(3) status will support a dedicated team, merchandise, and media presence. Finally, a memorial scholarship or foundation will support children affected by abuse, with continued storytelling through various media.

At Justice for Malinda Inc., we’re no strangers to uphill battles. From navigating legislative bureaucracy to pass Malinda’s Law, to building bipartisan consensus around child protection, every challenge is a call to action. Breaking through media noise to amplify Malinda’s story and maintaining momentum among our volunteers, supporters, and legislators isn’t easy, but her legacy reminds us why we push forward. These obstacles don’t define us—they refine us. And with every setback, we grow more determined to deliver lasting, systemic reform.
